DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single firm fixed-price contract. This project will renourish approximately 5.5 miles of beach and dune along Anna Maria Island, in Manatee County between Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Range monuments R-11.9 and R-41.3. The project will include a Base and an Option. The Base will include the renourishment of approximately 4.1 miles of beach and dune between FDEP Range monuments R-11.9 and R-33.4. The Option will include renourishment of approximately 1.4 miles of beach between FDEP Range monuments R-33.4 and R-41.3.
