STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) FOR GAS TURBINE BLEED AIR HOSE INSULATION CGC MUNRO has a need to replace insulation covers on the Gas Turbine Bleed Air Hose. The ship’s Main Gas Turbine is currently non-operational and has an immediate need for new insulation materials as outlined in this Statement of Work (SOW). 1.0 GENERAL Background USCGC MUNRO inadvertently soaked the insulation surrounding GTBA-HOSE-1 with an oily water. The hose is for the anti-icing bleed air system located underneath the Main Gas Turbine Module. Inundated insulation causes smoking when the Gas Turbine is operated in external temperatures above 40 degrees; preventing operation of the turbine.
