Under the authority of RFO 6.301(b)(2)., the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intent to require, on a sole source basis, a brand name requirement for the Siemens or Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) HVAC building automation and temperature controls systems in the new Surgical and Clinical Tower, Phase A2 Chilled Water Plant Replacement and Utility Upgrades Project at the VA West Haven Campus. The existing VA West Haven campus utilizes Siemens and JCI Controls for the existing Medical Center campus. The new temperature controls system for the Chiller Plant is expected to be connected to the existing Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant, existing boiler plant, and new boiler plant.
