QUESTIONs AND ANSWERs The following questions were raised and answers are hereby provided: Question No. 1: The solicitation requires prescription (corrective) lenses that also meet JIS T8147. In Japan, JIS T8147 applies to plano (non-prescription) lenses, so prescription safety glasses generally cannot carry formal JIS T8147 certification. Manufacturers instead perform in-house impact testing per the JIS T8147 method (confirming no shattering or cracking).
