The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award Detail Design and Construction (DD&C) efforts for the procurement of two (2) AS(X) Class Submarine Tender Replacement ships. These ships replace the two (2) existing in-service 649ft tenders, USS Emory S. Land and USS Frank Cable. The planned NAICS is 336611 Ship Building and Repairing, PSC 1925 Special Service Vessels. This action also includes but is not limited to the completion of design maturation, procurement and integration of Vendor Furnished Information (VFI), data, provisions for the procurement of onboard spares and repair parts, outfitting, major shore based spares, engineering and industrial support, special studies, emergent material and support, technical manuals, and other direct costs.
