CLEANING AND PRESERVATION OF STONE MOUNTAIN MEMORIAL CARVING

About this opportunity

The Stone Mountain Memorial Association ("SMMA") is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide cleaning and preservation services for the Confederate Memorial Carving (the "Carving") on the north face of Stone Mountain. The Carving is a historic resource of significant importance, and all work must be performed with a high degree of care to ensure that the cleaning method does not damage, abrade, or otherwise degrade the Carving in any way. Each respondent will be given the opportunity to evaluate the Carving in person. Site visits must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance and occur between July 24 and August 7, 2026.
