About this opportunity
The U.S. Geological Survey, Maryland-Delaware-Washington, D.C. Water Science Center requires procedures to properly abandon a monitoring well due to the dry dumping of an unknown quantity of bentonite that has bridged at a casing reduction transition. The following scope of work includes procedures outlined by the Maryland Department of the Environment, Water and Science Administration and with agreement by the Talbot County Health Department, Office of Environmental Health through direct communications. The work is described in Attachment 1 Performance-based Work Statement along with photos of the site. Attachment 3 provides site location.
