THE TRANSSCLERAL FLOOD ILLUMINATION MODULE FOR THE RTX 1 EXTENDS THE IMAGING CAPABILITY OF THE RTX1 ADAPTIVE OPTICS CAMERA. IF PROVIDES A TOLL FOR INVESTIGATING RETINAL ANATOMY, PATHOLOGY AND THERAPY AT THE MICROSCOPIC SCALE BEYOUND PHOTORECEPTORS. THIS TECHNOLOGY ENABLES VISUALIZARTION OF SMALL RETINAL STRUCTURES THAT ARE USUALLY INVISIBLE IN ADAPTIVE OPTICS IMAGES. THIS TECHNOLOGY COULD PROVE HELPFUL IN CLINICAL TRIALS AND DEMONSTRAGTE CAPABILITY IN MONITORING THE PROGRESSION OF VARIOUS OCULAR DISEASES AT A CELLULAR LEVEL BEFORE SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE SETS IN.
