BACKGROUND Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center (MOMMC) performs 1,500 surgeries annually encompassing surgical services that include Orthopedics, ENT, Vascular, General, GYN, Ophthalmic, Urology, General, Labor and Delivery, and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery. The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and functionality of surgical instruments used in patient care.
