The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) “Low-Cost Kill Vehicles” solicitation seeks solutions to dramatically decrease the cost of kill vehicles for defense against ballistic and hypersonic threats. This program prioritizes the use of readily available technologies to deliver solutions on a compressed schedule with little to no reduction in performance or reliability. This solicitation seeks to transition concepts into future missile defense interceptors or cost saving upgrades to legacy interceptors. Future interceptors include but are not limited to MDA Low-Cost Interceptor (LCI), Glide Phase Interceptor, Next Generation Interceptor, Navy Modular Missile, etc. Legacy interceptors include standard missile 3 (SM-3), and THAAD.
