DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single firm fixed-price contract. Project work includes maintenance dredging of Fort Pierce Harbor with excavated material being placed onto Fort Pierce Beach. Due to the extensive hardbottom areas located offshore of the fill area, offshore pipeline access to the beach site is prohibited. Offloading the beach fill will be done inside the South Jetty of Fort Pierce Inlet, as shown on the drawings. A staging area and beach access to the beach placement area are located at the end of Seaway Drive and near the south jetty pumpout location.
