About this opportunity
Phase 1 of the GAC Treatment Optimization Project includes, but is not limited to, retrofitting one L/2 Building carbon contactor, consisting of two cells, to serve as the per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) pilot study system; restoring upflow and downflow operating capability through modifications to the existing underdrain nozzle system; and implementing a proof-of-concept evaluation for carbon transfer improvements. If authorized by the Owner, Phase 2 of the Project will include, but is not limited to, retrofitting the remaining seven carbon contactors (i.e., fourteen cells) with the selected improvements based on the results of Phase 1. A complete description of the Work can be found in the Contract Documents.
