About this opportunity
The OAG is soliciting proposals from attorneys to advise and represent the OAG and the OAG's client agencies and institutions with respect to medical malpractice claims pursuant to Va. Code § 2.2-510.Pursuant to Va. Code § 2.2-1832 et seq., the Division of Risk Management, (DRM) also provides risk management plans for state agencies, local constitutional officers, and local governments. DRM receives the claim reports from plan participants and conducts an investigation. If suit arises under the Constitutional Officer and Regional Jail Risk Management Plan (VaRISK) or the Virginia Liability Risk Management Plan (VaRISK 2), DRM will assign counsel to handle the litigation as necessary.
