PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF SERVICES A. Description: The City Solicitor performs advanced professional legal work involving the prosecution of suspects in misdemeanor criminal cases and participates in administrative and research functions in civil areas when directed. The Solicitor will prosecute cases within the jurisdiction of the City Charter, ordinances, and Georgia State Statutes that are within the original jurisdiction of the Winder Municipal Court. B. Qualifications: Education and Experience: Minimum qualifications include a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school, license to practice law in the state of Georgia, membership in the Georgia State Bar Associations, and three (3) years experience as a practicing attorney.
