Who can apply
This financial assistance opportunity is being issued under a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units (CESU) Program. CESU's are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education. Eligible recipients must be a participating partner of the Californian Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit.
About this opportunity
The U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS) Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center is offering a funding opportunity to a participating partner of the California Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) for research to improve understanding of seabed mineral formation, including interactions with fundamental ocean processes, element enrichment, growth timescales, and submarine geohazards. The cooperative agreement funded under this NOFO shall deliver timely, relevant science that supports resource managers and informs adaptive management strategies. This competitive funding opportunity intends to leverage and expand existing CESU partnerships and sharing of expertise.
