About this opportunity
The New York State Education Department (NYSED or “the Department”) is now accepting applications from Target Districts for 2026-27 Title I, 1003 School Improvement Grant (SIG) Innovation funds to support innovative practices in schools under School District Superintendent Receivership. The Department will provide eligible districts with $200,000 in funding per eligible school to support three categories of allowable activities: Completed applications, which must include the FS-10 and corresponding School Spending Plan(s), are due by August 15, 2026, and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. LEAs are encouraged to submit completed applications as soon as possible to expedite the review and approval process.
