The Washington State Commerce Energy Programs in Communities (EPIC) unit designs, develops and implements initiatives that enable all communities to be a part of the clean energy transition. EPIC focuses on expanding access to renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies, building community resilience while reducing energy burden, and promoting environmental justice. Current grant opportunities include Clean Energy Grants with approximately $32 million available for modernizing electrical infrastructure, strengthening community resilience, and expanding solar deployment; Dairy Digester Grants with $12.8 million for new construction, repairs, and upgrades to digesters at Washington dairies; Grid Resilience Grants funded through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law helping utilities withs...
