About this opportunity
The project consists of the improvements and repairs of a dam embankment, which is classified as high hazard and regulated by VA DCR Dam Safety. Project includes armoring the downstream face with Articulated Concrete Blocks (ACM) under a grassed soils layer with concrete training walls to channel overtopping flow. In addition to work to improve and repair the existing dam, project will include other incidental civil construction activities, such as temporary lane closures along Jamestown Road, utility relocations, guardrail construction, site clearing, re-forestation, and landscaping.
