The U.S. Army is seeking information to assess the availability of sources to meet the Government’s requirement for the High Mobility Engineer Excavator (HMEE). The HMEE Type IV capability, outlined within AUTOMOTIVE TANK PURCHASE DESCRIPTION-2301A, is a pneumatic tired, diesel-engine driven, all-wheel drive tractor with attachments, for excavation of small emplacements, material handling, and general construction tasks; with tactical mobility over rough terrain and high mobility on roadways. The basic tractor, is classified as a self-propelled construction vehicle, meeting federal highway safety standards as well as emission standards for Non-Road Engines.
